How to Clean the Silicone Rubber Keypad?

Silicone keyboard has good chemical stability, is non-toxic and tasteless, insoluble in water and any solvent, acid, and alkali corrosion resistance, heat resistance, scratch resistance, and other advantages, so it has been widely used in daily life. Products are also susceptible to dust and bacteria over time. If it is not cleaned regularly, it may even affect the circuit equipment. Silicone keys dirty will affect the appearance.

How to clean up the membrane keyboard is also an important issue:

  • Take the silicone button apart first and soak it in clean water;

  • If there is a lot of dirt on the silicone rubber keypads, you could gently scrub them with a soft brush and toothpaste;

  • Rinse off the foam with water after cleaning the silicone rubber keys, and then wipe the silicone rubber keys clean;

  • Step 1. Clean silicone keyboard rubber with alcohol disinfection, but we couldn't use too much alcohol. The main reason is the silicon rubber will become yellow after using too much alcohol. Step 2. Use a hairdryer to dry the silicon rubber keys at a normal temperature. Step 3 Hang up in the room and not be put in the sun to dry. The silicone rubber keys dry quickly. At the same time, if the silicone can't be peeled off the circuit, then we recommend using alcohol instead of water. Because the alcohol is volatile, it doesn't damage the circuit.

  • If the dust is minor and not affect the circuit, we could use the Feather Duster to clean the surface of the silicone rubber keypad. It is a safe and effective way to clean silicone rubber keypad with Feather Duster.
