To ensure the function of the circuit, first of all, we should ensure the quality of the screen of the printed silver paste circuit. Since the selected coarse mesh screen has surface defects such as edges and sawtooth patterns, full consideration and attention should be given to this point during plate making and corrective and preventive measures should be taken.


According to practical experience, the following points should be noted for switch line plate making:


  • Choose a larger frame and tighten the screen. The larger the frame, the smaller the relative deformation and the easier the operation. The tighter the screen, the more beneficial it is for the printing material to separate quickly from the screen, which is more beneficial for high-viscosity silver paste.


  • When gluing by hand, the glue surface should be flat and even. Usually four coatings are appropriate, but there are also special situations, depending on the viscosity of the photosensitive glue, to choose the number of coatings. When coating, repeat scraping evenly on both sides of the screen to make the photosensitive glue fill the mesh evenly. Then dry in the oven (note: it is necessary to dry every time the glue is scraped). After the first and third coatings, scrape evenly on the printing surface of the screen and dry. After the fourth coating, scrape and dry once on the ink scraping surface.


  • When exposing the screen for the capacitive membrane switch, the screen should be in close contact with the film for a short period of time, otherwise the imaging is difficult, but not too short, otherwise it will cause non-printing and thicker lines. Then place the exposed screen in a water tank, rinse with low water pressure, and dry after the photosensitive glue is evenly distributed and the imaging is complete.


  • The dried screen should be checked for pinholes and bubbles and repaired. After drying, a second exposure should be performed to make the photosensitive glue of the screen completely solid.
