Rubber Keypad Manufacturing Process

Choose silicone rubber raw materials with different hardness according to customer requirements

According to the customer's drawing requirements, CNC milling machines and EDM are used to produce hardware molds.

Need to ensure that the mold is tidy and clean. Heat and pressure form the silicone resin into the mold configuration of the mold.

The colored silicone rubber is manually placed on the base mat in preparation for molding. The silicone will fuse together to form the keyboard base, and the keys will retain their specific color. Only the top of the key can be seen through the bezel

Step1: Need to clean the screen printing jigs to ensure that there is no dust during the screen printing process

A stencil is placed over the keypad. The stencil exposes only the key tops that are to receive ink on this screen printing pass. Each screen print color will have a stencil.

After spraying and silk-screening, the product is ready to be transported into Oven for heating, so that the silk-screen will be cured

After the molding process and post-curing, remove the silicone rubber keyboard from the sheet and check for quality issues.
